Tight curve on a steep gradient entering the busway path at Trumpington P&R. Could be improved by following line of busway?

Alternative route just above the main A3074 into St Ives - it would be nice if (one day) cyclists could use this in both directions.

One-way, no motor vehicles except for access - it would be nice if contraflow cycling could be permitted here.

Skidden Hill (ie skidding...) - now one-way, but it would be nice if cyclists could go down this way to central St Ives.

Byway past Wheal Owles (the 'Poldark' mine, with a bit of help from CGI)

Route sign on the byway between the National Trust's Levant and Botallack mines

Start of paved bridleway down to Porthgwarra

Bridleway to Porthcurno beach

A German mountain biker went over a cliff near here and died last year - you really shouldn't be cycling on the Cornish Coastal Footpath.

Staff cycle parking (mainly) at Land's End, cluttered up with motor bikes

Riders on a van-supported Land's End-John O'Groats ride posing for a photo (a couple of hundred metres from the actual end of the land).

New sign at the start of NCN route 3 (The Cornish Way) - 'The National Cycle Network starts and finishes here!'

Can “security” vans stop where ever they like? This guy claims he can, while doing so he is blocking access to Gordon St counter-way cycle lane. @GlasgowCC @polscotrpu ??

Love it or hate it, the closure of Hammersmith Bridge [to motor traffic] certainly makes the cycle ride to sports day more enjoyable: #notchiswick

There's a Pushchair Park on St Michael's Mount but no cycle parking

There's a Pushchair Park on St Michael's Mount but no cycle parking

No cycling from St Michael's Mount to the mainland for the next few hours, and no bikes on the boats.

At last the roadworks (with Cyclists Dismount and go somewhere unspecified signs) on the A30 have finished and there's a new rail/bus interchange - cyclists are told to dismount to cross to the station, and there's no indication at all that ... [more]

At last the roadworks (with Cyclists Dismount and go somewhere unspecified signs) on the A30 have finished and there's a new rail/bus interchange and remarkably good signage (in this direction only) for NCN route 3.

They've fixed the bent cycle stand at the Minack Theatre!

Traffic-free bridge, Mawgan Porth

A new sign (in the distance) marking out Jamie Oliver's Fifteen restaurant - but no real cycle parking.

No Cycling on the footpath across St Enodoc Golf Club

Very small No Cycling sign on the National Trust's Trevose Head property - but you'd be unlikely to get this far with a bike anyway.

Under-used cycle parking at Sainsbury's, Helston

Alternative to the A394 roundabout and a couple of hundred metres of the main road into Helston

Closed road alongside Sainsbury's, Helston

Covered cycle parking but using troughs, which make it difficult to secure the bikes.

Bikes dumped outside a neighbours house after the council ignored my abandoned bike reports for months. Note also in the background: motor vehicles parked across the footway and bins causing obstruction.

NCN route 3 ending at the A30, Land's End

Intermittent painted cycle lanes on the 40mph A88 Bellsdyke Road, a signed diversion route for the M876 motorway.

The Tate Gallery, St Ives (Cornwall, not Cambs) - no cycle parking, but it's just as hard to reach by car. It would be nice if cyclists could continue down the one-way road.

Unfinished trenching work at the Kelpies Marina.

The recently redesigned Sevenways roundabout has some minor improvements for pedestrians, but on the road it's a very different matter. Very few road users pay any attention to the road markings and choose to move straight over them, leadi ... [more]

Barcelona thinks this is a better use of space than a row of parked cars. I agree.

Think I interrupted a dance off between these bollards... Similar in Cambridge see: #9156

Interesting and perhaps clever use of bollards to slow down cyclists at a busy entrance to the Sedgwick Site from West Road. You can still cycle through but have to wiggle, which slows you down enough, but not too much to be a pain. But the ... [more]

These staggered bollards are a much better solution than the gate that previously occupied this position, but the gravel surface combined with the steep slope makes passing through them a dangerous prospect. The new gravel surface should b ... [more]

Markings on the former runway at Berlin Tempelhof airport

The surface is much improved at this point but the gravel is to be taken with care...

A much improved surface here, albeit gravel. Care is to be taken cycling here as the front wheel may step out unexpectedly.
